"Alvir is wonderful! Professional, kept in touch with me by text, on time, excellent driver especially in this terrible snow. After a 9 1/2 hour flight from Rome it was great to see a familiar face. We will use you again and certainly spread your company name to friends and family."

"Hamptons Leisure Limo was amazing. They took my son to and from airport when he had to fly alone from boarding school. The driver escorted my son to the gate and waited with him until his flight took off. Above and beyond!"

Water Mill takes its name from the 1644 water-powered grist mill that still stands on Old Mill Road. It is one of the oldest working mills in America and now operates as a museum, offering visitors a window into the agricultural life that defined Long Island for centuries. The hamlet sits between Southampton and Bridgehampton along Route 27 (Montauk Highway), about five minutes from Southampton Village and ten minutes from Bridgehampton.
Art lovers know Water Mill as the home of the Parrish Art Museum, designed by the acclaimed Swiss architecture firm Herzog and de Meuron. The museum's striking concrete-and-glass building showcases American art with a particular focus on artists who have lived and worked on the East End. It is one of the finest contemporary art institutions on Long Island, and a visit pairs perfectly with a drive through the surrounding farm country. Our chauffeurs can build a full day around the museum, local galleries, and a farm stand lunch.
Water Mill's agricultural roots remain strong. Mecox Bay Dairy produces artisan cheeses that appear on restaurant menus across the Hamptons, and roadside farm stands sell fresh corn, tomatoes, and flowers throughout the growing season. The annual Water Mill Summer Benefit at the Watermill Center (founded by artist and theater director Robert Wilson) is one of the most anticipated art world events of the year, drawing collectors and creatives from around the globe.
Water Mill Beach on Flying Point Road is a popular ocean beach with a wide sand stretch and consistent waves. It tends to be less crowded than the main Southampton beaches, which makes it a favorite among our regular clients. Mecox Bay, on the inland side, offers calm waters for kayaking and paddleboarding, with some of the best sunset views on the South Fork.
The Watermill Center, founded by artist and theater director Robert Wilson, operates year-round as a laboratory for the arts. Its annual summer benefit is one of the most anticipated events in the Hamptons art world, drawing more than 1,000 collectors, gallerists, and performers. The evening features large-scale installations across the Center's grounds and is known for its creative, immersive atmosphere. We provide transportation to the benefit and other Center events throughout the year.
Water Mill's central location is one of its strongest practical advantages. Southampton Village is about ten minutes west. Bridgehampton is roughly ten minutes east. East Hampton is twenty minutes away. This makes Water Mill an ideal base for clients who want to explore multiple Hamptons towns during their stay. Our chauffeurs regularly build full-day itineraries around Water Mill: morning at the Parrish, lunch at Plaza Cafe (a Water Mill institution for over 40 years), afternoon at a farm stand, and dinner in whichever village appeals most that evening.
For dining within Water Mill itself, Plaza Cafe on Montauk Highway has served classic American fare since the early 1980s. It is a local gathering spot where regulars know the staff by name. During Watermill Center events, Robert's restaurant operates on the Center grounds with seasonal menus. For more options, the restaurants of Southampton and Bridgehampton are a short drive in either direction. Text us and we will handle the driving so you can take it all in.
From world-class art to historic mills and farm-fresh produce, we handle the driving so you enjoy Water Mill's rural elegance. Also serving Bridgehampton and Southampton.
